New York June 10, 2021 – The Financial Alliance for Women is now accepting applications for the 2021 Alliance Hack: Unlocking the Full Power of the Female Economy.
The Alliance Hack was created in response to the organization’s research showing the industry’s blind spots when it comes to serving women. Women represent the world’s largest and fastest-growing market—and one that has been largely overlooked by the incumbent and fintech sectors alike. By not being gender intelligent, fintechs are leaving trillions on the table.
This year’s hackathon calls for innovative solutions to close lingering gender gaps in financial services—like the fact that most women-owned businesses are under-leveraged and that most women consumers are under-invested in the markets—that limit women’s financial independence and economic participation.
Excellent prizes for winners include a $25,000 USD cash prize, one year membership to APIX platform and access to global accelerator programs including Mastercard Start Path and IBM Hyper Protect, as well as one year’s membership to the Financial Alliance for Women.
The Alliance Hack: Unlocking the Full Power of the Female Economy is supported by the Singapore Fintech Festival and APIX. Partners include International Finance corporation (IFC), We-fi, Enterprise Ireland, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Mastercard Start Path, IBM Hyper Protect and contributors from across the Financial Alliance for Women’s member network.
