Ishan Roy heads the Blockchain initiative at the Centre of Excellence for Emerging Technologies (CEET) at the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency (TNeGA). He contributed to and coordinated the formulation of the Tamil Nadu Blockchain Policy 2020. He is the architect for Nambikkai Inaiyam, the Tamil Nadu Blockchain Backbone and other e-Governance initiatives of TNeGA. He also organised the first Metaverse Durga Puja along with his collaborators at Quantlabs' (quantlabs.technology). The initiative went viral and was appreciated by participants. His foray into blockchain began in the year 2016, at the blockchain team at ICICI Bank. This team carried out the first blockchain remittance in India. Since then he has worked as the Head of Products at HashCash Consultants where he built blockchain-enabled financial solutions for global clients. He has also authored the book "Blockchain Development for Finance Projects" available through Packt Publishing He has mentored students, executives, professionals and industry veterans in blockchain technology with UpGrad, Edureka and through independent workshops. He is extremely passionate about technology and loves to keep himself abreast of new developments in the field through his interaction with the community. His area of expertise in Blockchain lies in FInance, e-Governance, Metaverse, NFTs and Cryptocurrencies.
